Barkhurst Mill Covered Bridge

The Adventure…

The Barkhurst Mill (also known as the Williams Bridge) was built in around 1830 by Benjamin and John Pierpoint. In 1875, Eli McInturf purchased the gristmill. He operated it until the late 1800's, when it was sold to the Barkhurst Family. Remnants of the of the mill can still be seen today.

Getting there’s Half the Adventure…

The Barkhurt Mill Covered Bridges is located 1.7 miles north of jct OH 555 at Chesterville on OH 377, then right 1 mile on CR 52 and right again on Marion Road about half a mile.
