Jackson Lake State Park

The Adventure…

Jackson Lake State Park is a small park with a lot to offer. The 242-acre lake is the focal point of this serene spot. The varying habitats support beautiful displays of wildflowers through spring and autumn including trillium, spring beauties, dame's violets, goldenrods, and asters. With its peaceful sandy beach, the park is an ideal place for swimming and sunbathing. It is also a great place to go boating and fishing. Don’t have a boat? No problem! The park offers boat rentals. With 34 campsites close to the lake, Jackson Lake State Park is the place to spend a weekend or afternoon.

Getting there’s Half the Adventure…

Jackson Lake State Park is located just west of Oak Hill in Southern Jackson County. To access the park take State Route 279 and turn onto Tommy Been Road (County Road 8). The park office and parking lot is located off of Tommy Been Road.
