The Adventure…
This traditional quilt pattern was selected to honor the Native Americans that once lived in this region. Some of the oldest historical sites in Athens County are Navtive American burial and ceremonial mounds. Most of these are located in The Plains, just northwest of Athens on US 33 and State Route 682. The Plains was a religous center for the Adena Indians and also served as a burial ground. Chris Loveland owns the barn and sponsored the project. Girl Scout Troop 1367 painted the quilt square.

Getting There’s Half the Adventure…
This barn is located at 12905 North Peach Ridge just north of Athens. From Athens, head west on US 33 and take the State Route 13 / State Route 550 exit towards Amesville. At the light, turn right onto State Route 550. Follow State Route 550 for 4 miles and then turn right onto Dutch Creek Road. Make a slight right onto Bean Hollow-Dividing Ridge / N Peach Ridge Road. The barn is less then one mile down the road.
